Harrogate Tipple are a delightfully small batch, family run distillery based in the beautiful and historical Ripley Castle Estate in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
The owners, Steve and Sally Green, fell in love with the area. That’s why they want to keep everything as local as possible. So they source their botanicals from the 750 year castle’s walled gardens. And they even use the world-famous Harrogate Spring water in the production process. They also own the official license to the Downton Abbey range of spirits which are produced on site.
What’s unique about Harrogate Tipple?
It’s dedicated to the local area and it’s got a legend of the distilling industry looking after the production: Master Distiller Tom Nichol. Tom’s created well-known drinks in his 42 years experience in the industry, including Tanqueray 10. He’s clued up on all things gin. He’s the one making sure every batch is of the highest quality and produced with care and attention. Every bottle produced by Harrogate Tipple is hand-filled on site, labelled and packed by hand from beginning to end.
