Templeton 4 Year Rye
Templeton 4 Year Old Rye is a straight rye whiskey that carries both character and history in every sip. Introduced to the world in 2006, it pays homage to the original Prohibition‑era Templeton, Iowa hooch, which was brewed by farmers and reputedly favored by Al Capone.
This whiskey is produced using a mash bill of roughly 95 % rye and 5 % barley. It’s matured for four years in charred new American oak barrels, imparting a deep amber hue, aromas of dry grass and Christmas spices, and flavors of caramel, butterscotch, toffee, and allspice. The mouthfeel is slightly chewy, with a clean, silky‑smooth finish.
This product is light and easy‑going with a short finish. Lots of citrus driven notes and perfect for cocktails.
Whether sipped neat, over ice, or used in a classic cocktail like an Old Fashioned or Rye Manhattan, Templeton 4 Year Old Rye offers a smooth, spice-driven experience grounded in American whiskey lore
